Matriki Myth Story

Last week, we made our own myth of why the seven stars are there. My myth is about seven brothers looking for their father. We could write about anything basically but it had to be around the topic of Matariki. I found it easy to write my story. I found it nothing hard on this activity. The learning behind this task was to help us learn more about Matariki and the star cluster. Here is my work.

This week we listened to a book about aliens stealing underpants. So our teacher made us write our own version of that book. I made mine very stupid and weird so beware. Bird Flu Activity 1

This week our teacher got us into a group and gave us some activity about a article we read. I choose to do the first activity which is find the meaning of some of the words in the article. I  found it easy to get the meaning. I found it hard writhing the meaning in my own words. The learning behind this task was to help us learn more about virus. Here is my work.

Peco Incident Slide

This few weeks we have been reading a book called The Peco Incident. it is about two boys that sneak into a farm and put photos on the web of what they saw. I choose for an activity to make a slide about the book. I found easy animating the slide. I found hard remembering what happened. The learning behind this task was to retell the story in a different way with a google slide. Here is my work so far.

Rhyming Couplet

This week and last week we have been doing rhyming couplet. We got a topic then we have to makeup a rhyming couplet. A rhyming couplet is two lines and each word at the end of the lines rhyme. I found it easy making up rhyme. I found it hard trying to make it make cents. The learning behind this task was to help us get better and rhyming. Here is my work.

Chicken Diva

Last week we did art about a book called Chicken Divas. This  book was about two chickens who sneak out every night to go dance at a club. But their friend found out so now they all go dance at the club. For the art we made our own Chicken Diva. I found it easy colouring it. I found it hard cutting it out. The learning behind this task was to design a chicken and make some art.  Here is my work.

Space Writing

Last week we did writing about going to space. So this week we have to blog it. I found easy getting ideas about what ideas I should put in. I found hard thinking of good ways to lift my writing. The learning behind this task was to see how much we could get done with free writing and in our books. Here is my work.

Matariki Star

This week I have finished my star. I will tell you what I mean. Every Monday we do matariki work and this is one of them. We are going to hang the stars from the roof as decoration. I found fun making my star. I found it hard making it because it was a tricky template. The learning behind this task was to help us learn more about matariki. Here is my work.

Matariki Shading Art

This week for Maori we have done art. We traced or made our own symbols some don't mean anything. Anyway I chose to draw a dolphin for my work. I found it easy sketching the dolphin. I found it hard making patterns. The learning behind this task was to represent you or your family. But I didn't do that. Here is my work.

Multiplication Wheel

This week for maths we have been learning timetables. Today we have done an activity called Multiplication Wheel. I got no times tables wrong. I think I should work on my nines and eights. I found fun figuring out the questions. I found hard helping my buddy. The learning behind this task is to help us get better at multiplication.
